In case Made to Order, Assembled To Order, and Mixed Mode manufacturing plants, our MPS solutions take as input a combination of customer orders and demand estimates. MPS generates a feasible manufacturing plan after taking into account finished good stocks and capacity constraints.In case of repetitive Assembly Lines, MPS solution breaks down a monthly sales plan into a daily production plan based on various rules . For example for an Automobile manufacturer, every car is defined by its model and color. The planning is done in various stages. First model level planning is done. Various constraints of material and capacity are considered while planning. This model plan is then converted into a car level plan by planning for colors within various car models. The color planning is done in such way as to plan for popular colors everyday and other colors cyclically every 2-3 days. Constraints of paint line are handled during color planning.
